RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM 2020-2021
1. Religious Education Program
- It will start on Sunday, September 12, 2021
- All students and their parents must attend Mass at 9:00 a.m.
- Religious Education class is on Sundays from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

3. Attendance and Mass Card
Every student must have Pastor’s signature on their Mass Card, after each Sunday Mass
the Catechists keeps record of attendance for each class.
4. Registration Forms (download registration forms)
All students must register every year, even if they had already registered the previous year.
5. Sacramental Requirements
Sacramental preparation requires two years of continuous Religious Education.
- For first Communion preparation, the child must be at least 7 years old.
- For Confirmation preparation, the child must be entering 6th grade.
6. Curriculum
- For First Communion, we will be using the Catholic Identity book We Believe by Sadlier; and God’s Gift Eucharist & Reconciliation by Loyola Press.
- For Confirmation Classes, we use the Catholic Identity book Confirmed for Mission: An Evangelical Catechesis on Confirmation, Copyright © 2020, Catholic Diocese of Lincoln, along with the New American Bible.
